Affiliate disclosure
This site earns commission from some of the links on it. Here is exactly how that works and what we will not do because of it.
How it works
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and go on to buy something or take out a policy, we may receive a commission from the merchant. It never costs you anything extra — the price is identical whether you use our link or go direct.
Affiliate links are marked with rel="sponsored", route through
/go/ so they are identifiable, and appear alongside a disclosure naming the
relationship. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
The rules we hold ourselves to
- Commission never determines a recommendation. Pet insurance pays considerably better than a £9 packet of wipes. Both get recommended on the same basis: whether we would use it.
- We say when something is not worth buying. Several pages on this site actively argue against spending money — most obviously the pages on rare colours, where the honest answer costs us the higher-value affiliate click.
- We do not accept payment for coverage or placement. No sponsored posts, no paid reviews, no buying your way onto a comparison table.
- We do not take commission from breeders or puppy sellers. Not now, not ever. The conflict of interest is unmanageable.
- Health content is written first and monetised second. No condition page is shaped around what happens to be sellable alongside it.

Insurance specifically
We are not regulated financial advisers and nothing on this site is a personal recommendation about a financial product. We explain how policy structures differ and what tends to go wrong for this breed. Read the policy documents, and get a written quote for your specific dog before you buy anything.
